Work in K 3, P 1, rib until work measures 2" ( to form turnback of cap). With wrong side facing, knit for 3" in stockinette stitch. Next Round: K 6, K 2 tog, K 6, K 2 tog, and continue like this to end of round. (K remaining sts to end round) Next 3 Rounds: Knit . Next rounds: *K 5, K 2 tog *. Repeat from* to * across round. DK weight) #7 Circular Needle Total length = 48" Width= Double 8" Cast on 108 sts. (The scarf is knitted as a long tube with both ends open.) Place marker at beginning of row. Pattern Stitch: * K 1, K next st., but K through the loop below instead of the loop on the needle. K 1, p 1 *. Continue working pattern * to * to end of round. Continue in this pattern for 48". Bind off loosely (or at same tension as cast on stitches), To wear as a scarf, fold tube in half. To wear as hat/turtleneck combo, slip the tube over the head. ---------------------------- WRISTLETS 1 oz of fingering weight yarn. #5 single pointed needles Cast on 48 sts. Work in Rib Pattern of K 3, P 1, working every row the same and not reversing as you come back across the row. Bind off loosely in rib. Press, without stretching, with a hot iron, over tissue paper, and sew up with fine seam. ------------------------------------
